Is there any way to convert cdr files. So much of what is posted is cdr files and I am using laser master which does most of what I need except open cdr files. What about the corel draw from ebay. Folks are advertise the education version of x4 a little over 100 bucks. Some times there are reasons that thing sound cheap!!
Thanks
Al

The education version is not complete. I can't recall exactly what is missing but it seems like clipart and help files are excluded.

If you do some shopping on the internet you should be able to find a good deal on a legal full package.

You can check out Amazon from here on SMC.

Thanks Mike!! I just got hold of Corel and they told me that there was no difference in the X4 and the education version except the latter did not come with a manual. Amazon had it for 90 bucks so I grabbed it. Even if I get it and find out that it is different it should solve my issues with not being able to open cdr files. I hope!!!!
Thanks

At least in X3 the cheap versions often lacked VBA support - no macros.

Import the file into Laser Master instead of opening the file. That should allow you to work with .cdr files that were saved up to corel version 8. this trick works on .plt files as well.

The education version IS NOT licensed for any commercial use. It is what it says: educational.
