I've seen Laserbits and another one has sheets of 12" x 24" and no other sizes. I'm looking for colored sheets to engrave photos and make signs. They have precut shapes which are small, but not what I need. I need picture sizes like 5" x 7", 6" x 9", 8" x 10", and maybe 10" x 12". Don't tell me I need to cut it myself because I can't even cut paper very neatly. There's got to be someone that sells these...anyone?

If not, then how the heck do you cut these and make them come out nice? Don't the edges bend when you use shears?

Try Johnson Plastics.

You need to buy a shear. One of the fundamental tools for the engraving business. They range from $500 to $2500. There are different types depending whether you are cutting metal or plastic.

Johnson sells shears too.
You need to get a catalog from Johnson's and from JDS to get started.
A good shear won't bend the material, but I believe your thinking of a hand held shear, not a guillotine shear.

I thought I'd be able to find ready-to-engrave anodized sheets for a recent project but couldn't find what I needed. I ended up having ~25) .100"x8"x10" aluminum plaques anodized for $50 at a local anodizer. I bought the aluminum from drops at a metal supplier and cut it on a tablesaw with a non-ferrrous metal cutting blade (TCG, -rake).

I have a customer that wants 600 Anodized Aluminum tags a month. I have a shear so i called idplates and they offer several colors.

Johnson Plastics HQ is in Minneapolis. They are a good supplier.

That thickness is available at some other places already anodized.
