I have a left tilt Delta Unisaw and I purchased the Biesemeyer 78-431 splitter for safety. I am having some difficulty installing and wondered if anyone is familiar with this gadget. Two bolts attach this thing, one straight and one slotted for adjustment. After snugging up the two bolts, it looks like the splitter is displaced one whole saw blade width. (see photo) For reference in the photos, I have the splitter installed in one and removed in the other. Any ideas short of resizing the straight hole?

It reminds me of a similar problem I had. I had a Delta Hybred and there was a lip you had to watch out for. If you haven't yet, you could try putting the splitter block in place and move it slightly in each direction. It might pop in place.

Just a thought.

Call Biesemeyer bright and early.

Good luck...

I got it installed but I can't say much for Beisemeyer's engineering approach. The answer I got was "loosen lower bolt and move around until splitter lines up". Sorta like poke and hope!!

The other interesting thing about that splitter is the cost. For $10.00 of metal or less...you paid $$$$. I showed my splitter to a friend and he said "You paid what for that!" But it works well. Safety can be costly.
