Hi all - newbie here. After 15 yrs my Vega saw fence no longer locks properly. The locking handle excentric seems to have lost the ability to cam down and lock onto the bar. The handle travel stops and the fence seems locked but going into the cut the fence moves. Anyone have this problem, ideas, solutions??
Thks,

Try sanding the brass strip under the cam to improve the friction to the rail.

I have the same fence and problem. I talked to the owner at IWF in Atlanta about it. He recommended changing the brass strip under the eccentric. Fortunately he had one with him that I could buy for $10. Recommend you contact Vega for a replacment part

I have had the same problem with my Vega fence too. I've done two things. 1) Clean the brass plate that the locking cam pushes against the rails (I haven't used an abrasive) 2) I also make sure that the micro-adjuster locking cam is also pushed against the rail. These steps have solved the problem for me.
