One of the "rollers" at the top of the lens carriage came off and the bearings inside fell apart. I was able to quickly get the two rollers replacement parts and was advice to replace both to make it even.

was able to install both. however, it seems there is an alignment problem. The carriage was tilted towards the front of the machine. and the wheels in the bottom seemed like it was not in the groove. I put two washers in the bottom wheels to align (there was no washer before... did i just make the problem bigger by doing this?)

seemed to work. it cuts ok but for engraving there is a very slight blur or double engraving. and the red beam is off in the x axis by about 2mm to the left.

i couldn't find anything regarding alignment instructions in the laserpro manual. Anyone have the instructions for this or can help me out?

I dont think you should have shimmed the bottom washers up.
Here is a mercury maintenance manual etc
http://www.jorlink.com/page.aspx?page_id=49
will tell you about alignment , roller replacement etc.
