Hi, I'm new here. Had a question.

I'm looking at an old Yates American to pick up. It has a T 12 Model Plate on it, and it looks like it was one of the J models with the motor in the headstock with the brake and all on it. However the motor looks to be removed and a motor has been installed on the back of the one headstock leg and a pulley attached to the Outboard side of the headstock.

It has clearly been repainted an off white and is heavily chipping. I guess I'm just wondering how much work it is going to be if I wanted to totally rehab a machine like this.

Any idea what a pristine machine would go for or what to expect a used machine in a condition similar to this might go for.

Thanks in advance for any help or thoughts.

marc.

I did a bit more research and it looks like this is identical to one of the T 12 seed lathes that are present there.

No one here has had one of these?

Are you still looking for information on a T-12?
