I dunno...I think it's a fake. Most guys I know would have left the old lady and took more beer. :D

Around my house, I'd be careful using the two words "old" and "lady" in the same sentence or on the same day.

You'd think that drinking all that beer they'd put on a few pounds!

There is another person behind them on another piece of plywood that has all the Sudafed, ether, glassware, Bunsen burner, Drano, etc.

Amateurs! Any self respecting redneck who's gonna' survive until the Gubmint shows up knows you gotta have some Vienner Sausages and a couple of cans of Beanie Weenies. Sheesh! Some people are SO unprepared.

Gubmint - sure turn it into a political thread and get it deleted. ;)

Why does she have a sign sticking out of her head that says "Any Time"? And who is he waving at? And where's his shotgun?

And where's his shotgun?

Is he standing on his pickup? And where is the hound dog?

...Piece of plywood to float your old lady and booze ...

This is a funny picture to be sure, but I think they are using a large piece of foam to float on, not plywood. The reason I can be pretty sure about this is because of my own redneck childhood. :) One time when I was about 10 years old, my father and I went "dumpster diving" at a construction site where an old restaurant was being remodeled. We found lots of nice oak trim boards, some booth seats and tabletops, and some very large blocks of foam. Some of the blocks were about 3 feet wide, 6 feet long and 8 inches thick. That summer when we went to the lake, we took some of the foam blocks with us, and my sisters and I had great fun climbing up on them and horsing around. The only bad part was that a lot of the little beads of foam were flaking off, and when we got out of the water it looked like we were covered in snow.

Thanks for posting this picture Bob, it really takes me back...

You're right, if you look closely you can see it is not plywood. But plywood is funnier.
