In more civilized areas, it works the other way around: we use the smoke detector as an oven timer.

Lee, Ron White has a joke about his wife's cooking and the smoke alarm. Something to the effect of her learning that dinner is done before that particular buzzer goes off...

Me thinks using Ron White's advise on marital things might not lend to needing it for long....:rolleyes:
Funny SOB however IMNSHO.

Does the sprinkler system spray butter?

A 200 pack of Black Cat firecrackers in the top of each cabinet works better. :D (And I know people who have actually USED that one, some still do).

Belinda;

I know this is not your house; yours has crown molding, nicer wallpaper and you would choose something decorative to hang the Jiffy Pop:D

Well, Bob, I must confess I did Martha mine up a little bit. My alarm is hanging from a pretty red ribbon, and there's a little crosstitched sign underneath it that reads "In the event of fire, save the butter."
