Jon,
What tools did you use to turn that beautiful work. I saw in your other post that you were looking at the Sorby. Did you go with that one? Thanks.

Jon, that is beautiful! What hollow form tools did you finally use? I am still working on bowls and have one that is just about ready to finish but HF's are definitely in my future.

Thanks everyone... I am excited about this piece.

Don....Tools: Rikon Mini Lathe, Nova Chuck, Monster Straight Tool, Sorby Master Hollow Tool, Harbor Freight 1inch skew that I put on a Lancer grind. And because this is "Spalted" wood I used a 2" sanding pad with my Drill. 60, 80, 120, 180, 220 & 320 grits.

Finish: 2 coates of Shellac. Two coats of Wipe on Poly (glossy) and then buffed and waxed.

Bob,

That's a stunning hollow form. (I was going to type "HF", but in addition to "hollow form" those initials also stand for "Harbor Freight". There's nothing Harbor Freight about your hollow form.) Great job.

Jon,

Beautiful HF. It sure looks a lot better than my first (and only so far), but at least I have one advantage..... I have the possiblity of doing a better one:). Seriously, I don't know how it could look any better.
