Spalted Bowl w/HF pic

Here is another finished Spalted Maple Bowl. This one is about 6.5 inches at the top. Finish is 2 coats of Shellac then a couple coats of Wipe on Poly.

Here is another Hollow Form I'm attempting. I was working on it last night when I decided to bring it up and show my wife the progress. So, since the camera was out I thought I'd take a quick shot of this one just in case it decides to 'blow.' It is about 7.5 inches and about 3 inches high.

I like both. The colors in the spalted maple bowl are spectacular. Your form does a great job at showing off the wonderful wood.

The hollow form looks like it, too, will be something extra special. The branch (?) on the side reminds me of Jupiter. Good job on both.

Jon - you seem to have caught on to this bowl turning thing real good! Very nice form - great looking wood and finish!

Hollow form looks really good! Shouldn't be much left to do on that one! Looking forward to seeing the finished version! Take your time with it - it's worth the extra effort!
