Scrap Koa Wood

Not knowing what else to do with such a small piece of Hawaiian Koa, and trying to get my turning "fix" in on a honey-do weekend...I buy the keychain and letter opener kits off of the big auction site for scrap pieces like this. Since I was in a hurry, I put a friction polish on it vs. the usual CA / BLO cocktail - I figure the friction polish will add some character over time with the user's hand / finger oil and darken accordingly (that is, if anyone uses it!)
