Just got my new Jet 8 inch jointer with the helical cutter head set up and running. Seems like a nice machine. Initial cuts are very smooth. Took two young guys to lift the tables/fence [300 lbs] onto the base.
Got it from Amazon with free shipping but the shipper wanted to charge me $75 for lift gate service - I said OK but asked Amazon if free shipping covered the lift gate, they said yes and contacted the shipper. The driver brought my check for $75 back to me. Good Amazon customer service.
