I am looking for a featherboard for my tablesaw. Unfortunatly, I have an aluminum table, so I am unable to use the magnetic ones. Anyone have any suggestions as to what I should get?

I have one that will lock in the miter slot. Ain't fancy, but it works.
Rockler has 'em. I'll bet there are others too.

David,

You might want to consider making your own. I posted on my blog a short video (http://sandal-woodsblog.com/2007/11/28/episode-5-a-wonderful-featherboard-2/) on how to make one that will also lock in the miter slot, plus you really want to clamp them down, to keep them from moving at all. Gord Graff's design is terrific.

Here's a home-made spring-board that allows 20" rip support left. I added a miter slot on the left end of my new saw. When it locks down.. it locks down. The miter slot cost about $12.. the spring-board is scrap.

Bench Dog makes one that locks into the miter slot.
They work fine for me...

I have several of the Rockler ones; stacked and otherwise. They work fine. I also have a few magnetic ones that I primarily use on the TS and BS. I was going to make a remark about how expensive the BD ones are but then noticed that the Rockler ones have more than doubled in price since I got them !?!? Rockler does still have free shipping till the 5th I think.

I would give another recommendation for the Bench Dog feather boards. I particularly like the leading short feather, which makes it a snap to set it at the correct amount of pressure for most things.

I have a pair of them set up for fence use, and another pair for miter slot use. They work very well, and are easy to adjust.

As an aside, they work great on my router table, inverted, as stops.
