I do thing it will be kind of cold in the winter morning when you shave..:D

Good looking stake of wood, now all you have to do it get it sawed, stacked for a year and then build it.

:eek::rolleyes::DThe piece on it's side on the right near front.....I think I might have used that as a shaving stand...in elk camp a number of years ago!

That is going to be a very big vanity, or very rustic. I think felling the tree is a great way to start. Sort of control the project start to finish!

I didn't know Cherry trees got that big. The widest board at my local Woodcraft was about 7" wide.

I'm sure you'll update this thread as you make some more progress over the years, hehehe.

I'm going out and get some wedges tomorrow.
Hopefully get it quartered, de-barked, and start drying.

Well...that's still a great start. There is really nothing better than seeing a project through completely from a "tree" to its final form.
