I saw this in Craigslist today:

http://www.cpowoodworking.com/radial_arm_saws/33-890.html?ref=googaw946&kw=%7Bkeyword%7D

Now, it isn't in this good of condition, the table will need replacing, and the safety bars are missing, but it is the exact same saw.

Seller had it sitting in his garage, tired of it. He let me take it away for $50.00.

I've been on this board for a couple of years now. I would like to think this is my first gloat. Please let me know.

I am not sure it is, you can get a new one for only $1700 and you paid $50.

Well I guess for a $1650 difference you could call it a gloat, like a really big one.

Nice going, you can speed a lot of money on the refurb and still be way ahead.

Yep Dwain.....That's a major gloat!!

You didn't find this in South Carolina did you?

I had a chance to buy an identical one at a flea market for $50 bucks also but (painfully) walked away from it 'cause I had nowhere to put it!.....

....Pretty good first gloat! ;)

Don, I bought this in Mesa Arizona. Used in a sign shop that went out of business. I need to replace the table, the leaf guards and get a manual. Any ideas?

Ya, I would say that's a gloat. If you're going to have a RAS in your shop, getting a "beast" is a much better idea, even with needed refurbishment, than opting for one of the cheaper mass-market products. This is one case where "big iron" is the best choice.

That's a really nice RAS! Uh, yeah, $ 50? That qualifies as a huge gloat in my book! Good job!

But it's not a Craftsman.......

But it's not a Craftsman.......

yeah, it's only a Delta, so no gloats allowed.

OR

you suck! may be more appropriate!............Rod.

That saw was free. You paid for the blade!

At the roughly ten cents per pound you paid I think you may owe a 'gift tax' on the difference! Even if it didn't run you could sell it by weight for more than you paid. Enjoy that saw. And thank heavens its not a craftsman.

Wasn't there another "D" company that made a good RAS too, what was their name?
