A friend of mine gave me a bunch of American Elm and this is the first bowl.

Good looking bowl Pete! Hard to see fine detail in the photos but the embellishments just under the rim really add to the charactor of the piece! Nice work!

Nice bowl Pete. I like the form very much. Did you find that it was hard to sand? The ones I did seemed like I used 3 times as much sand paper as any other bowls I've done.
