LV Scraper Plane Blades

Hello all, I have a LV scraping plane, and am just wondering if any of you who own one have bought the thicker blade which is available from LV, and do you find it does a better job than the regular blade?

The thicker blade takes away the ability to bow the blade. It's alot harder to get it working. With the thicker blade it's like a stanley 112. That blade sit's on the shelf. I also bought a 2nd thin blade which is handy when your scraping so you don't have to stop and sharpen it again.

I find that with the thicker blade I can take a thicker shaving. I didn't find it any more difficult to set up. With either blade a small change in the frog adjustment can make a very big difference in cut.
