Attic door issue

Good Morning,

My neighbor wants me to take a small size attic door which is just a piece of 3/4 plywood and hung on the outside trim and move it in to the door jamb so it looks more like a door. Is a piano hinge my best option. Basically she wants it moved in two inches. Am I making any Sense!LOL

A piano hinge will certainly work, but will require a lot more screws. You can probably use a couple of medium duty butt hinges just as well. Make sure you put in a door stop so the door doesn't swing into the opening too far and pull the hinges out of the door frame.
