Howdy guys. I just finished my first segmented bowl/pot. It's Paduak and Ash with a friction polish finish and buffed. Thanks!

Matt, great job on your first segmented piece (or your tenth one for that matter). Nice tight joinery, consistent grain alignment, and the shape is not bad either. How did you like working with paduak? Personally, I hate the stuff - too messy.

Indeed Matt, nicely done. I agree with Malcolm about registration and joinery and shape ... also the ( Padauk ) , but it sure looks great when it is finished up .....and you did a nice job on this one.Did you see Ben's platter ? very nicely done as well ...

Nice job. I like the form and the woods look great. I've heard that the Paduak can be very messsy, how was it?

Nice work Matt! I like the form, wood color combination and you did a great job on all the joints! You did good! Looking forward to seeing more of your work!

Paduak was probably the messiest wood I've ever dealt with. When I left, my beard, clothes, etc, was covered in a nice thick layer of red soot! If I use it again I'll have to definitely hook up the dust collector to the lathe. Thanks for all the comments.
