Also finished a bowl, a lided box and a combo Corian/Maple Burl Pen yesterday
The box is from some box elder given to me by Dominic Greco with a cocobola knob on the top.
The bowl measures 5 ½" x 3" and is from a blank given to me by one of the other demonstrators at Woodworks 2003 (sorry can't remember his name). The blank had been treated with something that made it almost jet black and ugly as #$%^@. I still do not know what the wood is. It looks a lot like cherry, however I am sure it is something other than N. American cherry. I don't have a clue but it sure made a nice bowl.
The pen is maple burl and Corian.
