Hi,I'm trying to find some web place to get info. on makeing whistle or humming tops.I have been every where on the web I can find,on luck.So if you turners have any seceret sites please let me know.

Hi,

There is an book on tops called "The Top" by D.W. Gould. It has in it pictures of many tops, including whistle top. The book is OOP but readily available through the usual used book sources.

A whistle top is basically a hollow top with a hole (or holes) in it to make the sound. Just start making some and experiment with various sizes/shapes & hole placement. You'll get a variety off sounds...some good...some not all that great. You'll have a lot more fun doing it that way than following a cook-book approach.
