I have found scant information on these chisels. They appear to be pretty old. Does anyone have an idea of what he value of them might be and about the actual qualilty of older Buck Bros. chisels?
Thanks,
MSH

Well Mike,

About two weeks ago, in a rural PA antique mall, I bought a Buck Bros. chisel, a 1/2" paring design, similar to one in your picture. Price was all of $2.00 with almost a full blade. Quality is excellent! Took an edge very well and holds it well. I don't quite like the handle design, and thought of re-handling, but after using the chisel, I find the handle to be more comfortable than most any other chisel I have (a big crap load!). Edge retention has been great in the cherry and oak I used it on so far.

I can't give you an estimate of value, but I would readily buy any similar Buck Bros. chisels I come across, and would easily pay $15 for the size I got and go up from there for the larger sizes.
