I very seldom turn bowls but occasionally I get the urge. This one is Elm and measures 12-3/4" dia. x 4-1/4" tall. Finished with antique oil and buffed. Comments/critiques welcome.

Very nice bowl Keith! Beautiful wood, color and I really like the rim treatment! Also really like the photo - especially the way the grain is aligned and connects the front and back edges! Cool effect!

Very nice.

You should turn bowls more often.

Keith, I think you did that elm very good justice in keeping the bowl just a bowl...beautiful piece!

Beautiful bowl Keith!

It seems like a bowl is a bowl, but what defines a really beautiful bowl is the rim. Something as simple as what you've done here can really turn a bowl into art.

The grain is amazing, and so is the nice warm antique oil finish. Beautiful bowl.

I like bowls, bowls, bowls and more bowls. Now my wife is wondering what to do with all of them. Your elm bowl is fantastic. I have quite a bit of bone dry elm logs that I got at an estate sale. I only hope I can come close to what you made, well done.
