I recently purchased a MiniMax CU350 combo and it has a 5/8" arbor and takes a 12" blade (ok 315mm). Although it can take 10" blades the cutting height isn't as high as on a Powermatic 66 (around 2" at full height). I'm looking for a decent combo blade and a ripping blade, I have a 10" CMT melamine/plywood blade that will work fine for that application, besides the saw has a scoring option. Anyhow, Forrest makes a 12" 40T WWII, the Tenryu Gold Medal 12" 60T blade (GM-30560) is popular, and there is always the Prazia 12" that MiniMax sells. Are there any others I should consider? For a ripping blade I'm considering the Tenryu RS-30524CBN.

Thanks

Hey Steven,

I am using a Forrest 12" 40T WWII on my MM 300S combo and love it. I was not at all happy with the 12" combo blade (Prazisa) that came with my MM machine.

Steve,

I take it you want a 12" blade with a 5/8" arbor, right? Most 12" blades assume a 1" arbor, right?

I see that CMT has 12 and 14" blades but those all have 1" arbors. Hmmm....

saw blade bushings, Freud makes em for about $4 or get them from McMaster-Carr at $2.50, the bore isn't an issue

Hmmmm, tough decision ... NOT.

Forrest. If you feel you need a ripping blade also, get another WWII. :D

Hi Steve, Try the blades made by Guhdo of Germany. That's what I mostly use on my Felder. Guhdo has them in most sizes and grinds for the 5/8" arbor. They have specials on their website also. www.guhdo.com
take care,

I use a Forrest that has fewer teeth than the regular WWII. Off hand I don't recall which it is, but I recall that the fewer teeth was what they recommended because my Felder spins the blade faster than a regular table saw.
