My dad put the kit on his 50-odd year old Delta 14". Truly startling improvement.

I have them on my MM and they make a world of difference. Take care of those bearings though as they are mucho expensive to replace.

On the package it says "sealed bearings". What kind of maintenence is there?

Sealed bearing are not supposed ot require any maintenance. That's one of the reasons they seal them.

Matt, I did a major Carter upgrade to my Jet 14" about a year ago. I installed the guides, new tension spring, quick release lever, and new tires. The saw performs 100% better now.

I don't think I really needed the spring or tires, but figured I'd replace everything at once. Now the guides and lever...I wish I had installed them a long time ago. What a difference!!!

Nice little upgrade to the saw Matt.
There is not really anything needed for maintaining a sealed bearing. I think Larry was just reminding ya to not lean on them too hard as the thrust bearings can be abused a wee bit if you get real pushy per say..... I killed a set on my old BS learning the ins and outs of feed rates and force needed.:rolleyes:

Its a little chilly this morning, so I went out into the shop and ban sawed up some kindling, just to hear the difference between the before and after sound.

Oh - and to get some wood to start a fire.:D
