I have the 555 bandsaw and am thinking of adding the riser block to it, so my resawing size doubles. Has anyone done this yet and if so how are the results. Does the saw have enough muscle to do 12" resaw work?

I haven't done anything that thick, and the wood species certainly makes a big difference. But seeing as the kit is like $60, it was a no-brainer for me. An aux. fence is a must, as are quality blades. Buy a couple Woodslicers in advance, so you have a decent blade when the riser kit arrives.
