View Full Version : Birch Burl Bowl

This is a 16-17" birch burl bowl. It is some of the most spectacular wood that I have had the pleasure of turning and the pictures don't even come close to capturing the shimmering and twisting grain in this piece. The bowl was finished with antique oil and buffed.

Wow Tom - that is an amazing bowl! Love the size and all that twisted grain! Quite the showpiece! Very nice form and finish! You should be proud of this one!

This one is pretty too Tom. Where is your signature? My white sheet background is wrinkled too. They don't make starch like they used to.

That's the nicest Birch I've ever seen I think, Nice shape bowl also.

I used to buy this Alaskan birch on ebay. I love that stuff. Can't find it anymore. Then I found some Indiana river birch but it wasnt as nice. Beautiful bowl.
