does anyone know of any websites of cooperative shops wood or anything, I thought I looked at a site of one in california, but I can't seem to recall the name. Any sites will help, just want to do a little research on them

I just googled for "cooperative woodworking shops ca" and got quite a return. I don't know if of any real value but worth a read.

Maybe you're remembering www.thesawdustshop.com? I'm not sure I'd call it a co-op. It is more like a health club for woodworkers. They have the facility and the machines. You pay a monthly fee to have access. Another way to think of it is that it is a woodshop for people who live in apartments, and don't have a garage for a workshop.

The Minnesota Woodworkers Guild has a web site. I am not a member, but I see their posts on Craigslist now and then.
