This is a bowl turned from a birch burl that was actually growing in the crotch of a white birch tree. It is very thin; however, I left the rim a little thicker to keep the bowl from flexing when you pick it up. The bowl is 12.5"x3.25" and it is finished with antique oil and buffed.

Hé Tom, you sure know how to let me drool, :( :)
That's a heck of a nice piece Tom, love the shape and all the inclusions, will it stay together ??, I hope it will, but there sure are some weak spots to say the least

I love it! Great work, and I can't wait to see more. I especially like all the knotty inclusions and apertures.
