Hey everyone. I used a ROS for the first time this weekend, I loved it. I went to several local big box stores. I like the Dewalt d26453k and the Porter Cable 343k. Any comments or suggestions on either? I am leaning toward the Porter cable but I am not sure. Thanks alot for your time.

I have that DeWalt unit. It's one of the best power tools I have. Dust collection works well, the unit itself works great, not fatiguing, powerful, efficient. It makes doing finish work on my projects (mostly guitar speaker cabinets) much more fun than my older palm sanders.

I can't comment on the PC unit as I haven't used it.

I haven't used the latest version of the Dewalt, but I didn't care for the way the older one fit my hand. I now have the PC 343 and love it.

Hello,
I have the DeWalt D26451K - the single speed version of the D26453k and the PC343K.
The DeWalt is smooth and powerful and works well.
The PC vibrates something fierce and is a chore to use.
I got the PC as a freebie with the purchase of a PC690 router.
