Last weekend I bought the Porta Plane at a yard sale. Looked like it had very little use.Looked brand new. Came with the metal box some wrenches & a blade sharpening jig. Got it home, didn't work. After looking it over found someone removed the carbon brushes. Called all over couldn't find any or a listing for any. They said it was too old. Went to Ace hardware and low & behold they had 3 large drawers of them in all different sizes. Found two that fit & it works great. Now I want to know is there someone that had or has one with the blade grinding jig tell me how it works & what you use to mount the grinding wheel on. I don't know if I paid to much but it was $50.00...
