I've decided to make a few bottle stoppers to give with wine bottles for Christmas this year. I've got quite a nice selection of some exotics, but would like to make 3-4 from some good old American hardwoods. I would love to find a couple pieces of curly maple and claro walnut suitable for 2-3 stoppers each, but what I'm finding on ebay and other places seems to be rather high priced, or the shipping is sky high. Can anybody recommend a reasonable place to buy just a couple chunks of each?
Thanks,
Dave

Hey David, did you find your wood? I live in Annapolis and have lots of scrapwood floating around.

Thanks, guys! Yeah, I've more than I plan on turning in a long time now! But I still plan on buying a few of those acrylic ones from Airzona Silhouette.
