Well, I finally got a couple decent photos taken. But man, my camera sure can be a pain in the hind side. I think these turned out ok, but I hope to figure out how to make them even better.

So this is a chunk of claro walnut burl that a guy gave me. It was a cutoff from a mill, and it had been sitting around for years. It's about 12.25" in diameter. I forgot a pic of the foot, but it's signed:

Good looking footed bowl Hutch! Beautiful wood - really nice form! Should be a major attention getter at your show! Hope it sells for big bucks!

Hi Matt, very nice wood, good shape and not so good pictures :-(.
I'd love to see more of the wood grain and a better profile picture.
Maybe a small wedge or block under the back side of the foot to tip the platter forward, that would give a better wood grain picture I would think, tipping it back or going lower for a profile would also be nice, still you done a nice job on this piece Matt, you should be proud of it, thanks for showing, and good luck on the weekend :D :) :D
