Small hutch done in cherry. The drawers are dovetailed front & back. The drawer fronts are book matched with steamed cherry

Paul,

The Cherry you used is beautiful as is the entire hutch. I bet the wood looks even better in a year as it darkens naturally. I just love working with Cherry.

Very nice, Paul! As already mentioned, the drawer front's look great. Just out of curiousity, what did you use to finish it? I recently built a project for my wife (mail/bills/file sorter) out of cherry, and went with Watco Natural. It looks nice, but it came out a bit darker than what I'd hoped, so I'd love to know what you used.

Eric
I used one coat of watco natural and 3 coats of Circa Antique oil. The steamed cherry seemed darker than the KD cherry that I normally use.
It looked like it had been aged for a while.
