Awhile back a friend from Louisville, KY sent me one of his signature Pedestal and challenged me to put something on it. It was definately a challenge and forced me to think outside the box and try some things, both tools and in the creative department. I decided on a Maple Box and a finial that emulated his pedestal. Anyway it measures 2-3/4" dia. x 12-1/2" tall. Again the pedestal is his and the box and finial is what I turned. Comments/critiques welcome.

Keith - what a beautiful collaboration! Great job on capturing the design of the pedestal in your finial! Can't believe how delicate everything looks! Great form, great colors and outstanding style!

It's pieces like these that I hold up as examples of what I want to eventually turn. I'm not there yet but I'm having lots of fun on the way! Thanks for posting Keith!

Nothing but praise from me!!! The thin pedistal top lends the piece a sense of being suspended which is appealing. Very nice!!

Man, you really have "delicate" down pat, Keith! Incredible finial work to compliment your consistently great forms. And with friends like you have, I can see why you are where you are with that, too!
