Guys,
I went to an estate sale that was supposed to have a collection of antique tools. Well, I show up towards closing time on the first day and was shocked at the number of planes and saws. There must have been at least 60 Stanley bench and block planes, another dozen or so wooden planes, and at least 30 hand saws. The prices were unbelievable. Unfortunately, no chisels :(. Anyway, here is what I left with, all in great, useable condition:
- A Stanley 5 1/4
- Liberty Bell Stanley Jack plane with spur depth adjustment
- a 26" Disston crosscut saw
- a 12" Disston backsaw
- a small 12" handsaw, styled like a rip saw but only the size of a backsaw
- a Sargent 95 saw vise
- a small "perfect handle" screwdriver.
I got all of this for the princely sum of $25!!! Major gloat. Pics to come tonight.
