I made this rim ringed Black Walnut bowl, the blank had a couple of knots in it, but I was able to keep them from splitting, he bowl is 8" wide and 5" high, thanks for looking :).
Any/all comments appreciated :D

Nice bowl Leo! Beautiful wood and I really like all the detail work around the rim - especially the undercut! Very clean and precise!

What kind of finish did you use? Looks fantastic!

Thanks Bernie and Bill for your kind words :D.
Bill it has a polished tung oil finish on it, and Carnauba waxed.

Nice work, Leo. I like the rim detailing; it is very different, in a good way! On the tung oil finish; how long roughly before it is hard enough to polish? I know it takes quite a while, but I'm curious. It certainly would be less hazardous to your health, so to speak.

Hi Nathan, thanks for the comment, about the Tung, it depends on the drying conditioning, (temperature and humidity play both a roll) careful buffing is advised as it's easy to go through a finish, but I would wait at least a week and probably 2 before polishing, have fun and take care :)
