I think we should continue to share these so people know what to look out for, though most members here are smart enough not to fall for them.

On this one the giveaway is the free e-mail account (yahoo) and having a first name for a last name which is very common among scammers. And, does anyone really think that western union would have an email domain name of live.fr ??

"Hello Dearest,

Now we have arranged your payment of ($850.000.00) in atm card to be sent to
you through western union, Your payment will sending to you by western union.
kindly contact the below
Mr James Mark,
E-mail: (western.union78@live.fr)
Regards,
Mr. Mark Robert."

Joe,

Sometimes it is the most painfully obvious scams that work. Call it a quirk of human nature but the obvious signs are missed by the recipient and the scam is done.

That type of scam is easy to spot but, some of the phishing scams are not so easy. If some one wants info and you don't know them-- heads up. Even if you know the company I don't answer email request for vital info. I figure if it is real they will write me
