I bought a pile of wood at auction. It was stacked up in the garage and was pretty much covered in dust so no one else bid against me. There were six 1x8 roughsawn boards about 7' long and 2 boards 2 1/2x8 1/2 7' long. I was planning to use the thick boards for loading boards on my pickup. When I got them loaded them on the truck I noticed the rough lumber was walnut. When I got home I used a jack plane on the "loading boards" to see what was under all that dirt and dust. Walnut!:eek: The price? $5:D
