Hello,
I believe the time has come for a dado blade.
I have a $10.00 of my next $25.00 purchase at Lowes, plus a $45.00 gift card from Lowes.
Lowes has a Freud SD208 for $94.00.
With the $55.00 mentioned above, that takes the price down to where i can't pass on it.
I know I'll have to get an insert.
Is anyone using the same setup?

The RIDGID TS3650 will accept an 8" stacked dado. Leave the arbor washer off when using all the chippers.

You can make your own throat plate.

Not using that blade set, but I am using that saw, and see no reason why that particular dado set wouldn't work just fine. Sounds like a deal to me.

I use that same Dado Stack in my TS3650 with no issues. Assuming the TS3660 uses the same arbor, it should not be a problem.

Some early TS3650s had a short arbor that caused problems with dado sets. See http://www.ridgidforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2353&highlight=arbor+dado .

I bought my TS3650 two years ago and it has no problems with dados.

Hi Jack - The arbor issue with the 3650 wasn't that the arbor was shorter than any other contractor saw, though they tend to be shorter than cabinet saw arbors, it was that the arbor had threads that were cut wrong and the inside dado cutter wouldn't sit correctly on the arbor and left uneven dados. They ended up offering fixes for the many saws that were effected, and AFAIK corrected subsequent runs about two years ago.

It wasn't a short arbor that caused the problems. It was a problem with the threads on the arbor not running the entire length of the arbor. This was a manufacturing defect, which the company fixed. My saw was one of the affected units. It takes a full dado stack just fine. Leave the arbor washer off, as it says to in the user manual.

Hello Dave,

Is Lowe's passing out $10 off this week?
We got a $10 off card a couple of weeks ago in the mail from the Lowes for Pro's side of Lowes. It was only good till Aug 28th.

Dang, I just noticed my mistype also. I have a TS 3650 so once I make the insert I should be good to go. I better get cracking on that!

FWIW, the HD BORG will honor those 10% off coupons if you can't find anything you want at the Blue BORG.
