Is this a good vendor to order from? Do they ship fast?

IMHO, absolutely. I've ordered from them a number of times and received very good service.
cheers

Dave--

I'd put them right up there with Lee Valley (which is about as high praise as I can think of). They are very quick to ship and great to deal with. Joel posts fairly often on several of the boards (mostly hand tools side).

And I have no connection except through my wallet...

Yes, Joel is a good guy to deal with. Call him up if you have any questions. He is also a member of SawmillCreek.

I agree - I've had nothing but good experiences with them.

The only problem I've ever had was trying not to blow my credit card limit LOL. Great people, great service and great selection.

I too have had good experiences with him.

Never tried them, but thanks for all the input. I will check them out. Sounds like a good alternative.

First class outfit to do business with. Two thumbs up.

Class Act and Joel knows a few things (a bunch) about the tools he sells...

Sarge..

Yet another affirmation. I never hesitate to buy from Joel.

I've only had one mishap on shipping where a chisel had barely punctured a bag of dry hide glue and a small amount had spilled out. I emailed Joel only to tell him that he may want to be weary of that in the future, but he insisted on sending me out another bag of glue. Great customer service.

First class operation. In the same class as Lee valley. TWW carries a different product line than Lee Valley. Joel is very knowledgeable and responsive to e mails. Peter

I have yet to order from them, but two people I trust have visited their showroom and raved about the level of service and knowledge. I'm planing on visiting sometime in the next month.

Dave, TFWW is an excellent vendor. I've been to their showroom as well as ordered online. Joel also participates from time to time in the Neander forum here at SMC.

1. His descriptions are extraordinary and accurate.

2. The people who answer the phone can answer any questions you may have. (seriously, give them a call with a question re: tool selection)

3. Their tool selection is somewhat unique.

4. They carry their own line of tools, too.

5. 6 months ago I needed a specific type of grinding wheel that nobody carried and didn't want to buy in bulk (25) from a Norton dealer. I contacted Joel with the suggestion and now he stocks them [though credit was given to Larry Williams:)]

5. I've only had great experiences with Lee Valley and Lie Nielsen, but for the Niche they cover (and they're expanding) they are a step above.

Yes absolutely.

I wish they sold everything I wanted to buy.

Very good CS, and probably the most personalized I've had. They obviously appreciate your business.
