Anybody have one of these or ever use one. They seem simple enough and the concept looks like it would work fairly well. Also from the standpoint of the price it’s cheap enough….$9.99

I really like mine and use it a lot.

It works just great and you can set it so there is just a 1/16 inch left to take off with the router.

Good find; I have a lot of band saw cutting of templated items...unfortunately, it doesn't appear to work on a Jet 18" bandsaw, unless someone else has tried it and it works.

Don, many of this type of accessories are designed for the typical 14" band saw in the mass market rather than the increasingly popular larger machines with more of a Euro design. That said, you may be able to make a similar jig, using the picture as a guide, as it were :), to do the same thing for your larger saw. Many of us who choose beefier machines face the same thing.

I've not used that kind, but if you clamp a board to your table with a point in front of the blade, elevated by a spacer underneath, you can get similar performance. This is particularly nice for using the same template for the bandsaw cutout and the router cleanup.

Don there is another jig I have heard of from Australia it is called the bandsaw jig from Frontline engineering if you go to their web site you can see it on a blog that they have on their site. But I must warn you it is about $300.00 or $400.00 hundred dollars but defiantly for high end production and will fit on any saw from what they say…I have a small 14’’ Delta I could use the rockler unit on and a Grizzly 514 X I use for re-sawing ... good luck on your templateing needs..
