Here's a bowl made from a cherry burl I harvested. It's 9"x5" about 1/2" thick even though it looks thicker. Antique Oil buffed with only tripoli so it wasn't to shiney.

I like that one, Bob. Very nicely done. That little crack makes for a great accent, too.

Very nice bowl Bob! Great looking wood color & grain! I like the contrast between the smooth outside curve and the jagged natural edge - it grabs your attention! Very well done!

That is a fabulous looking natural edge. Great form and the wood is beautiful.

Very nice.

I agree with Steve with how the form plays off the rough edge.

I wish I could find some burls in this part of the country but no luck so far.
