Well I finally got around to tuning up my old Craftsman table saw. I put machined pulleys and a link belt on it. Trued up the trunnions with a dial indicator and put casters on the stand so there won't be any vibration from moving it around. I am really impressed with how quiet it is. My saw was made back in the '50's and I'm sure it has never run better. I'm sold on link belt and have plans to upgrade several other machines.
I can stand a nickel on the table while the saw is running and it doesn't move! Lets see anyone do that with an aluminum top contractor saw from the borgs!

Geo,
I had a old Cman that would walk across the floor on start up and run down.
A linked belt and machined pullies smoothed it right out.
Good luck;).
