Decided to get a new Jet planer so sold my older planer and ordered the jet 12 1/2 inch planer from the tool dudes about 8 miles down the road. After waiting 5 weeks, I found out today (Monday) that they got it in last Thursday, which really chaffed my sit-down. When I went to pick it up, I noted it was a 13 inch planer with dual speed. It must be a very new model but they ended up charging me the price they had quoted for the 12.5 inch model. It's got a slightly larger :o footprint than the older model but I think I can live with that. I tinkered with it a few minutes and I think I like it!! I splurged and got the dust diverter also.
