I plan to purchase the JDS 750 ER air cleaner and am curious how you guys have wired your air cleaner whether it be a JDS or some other brand. Is there any advantage to putting this on a separately switched circuit or does the remote control make that unnecessary? If there is no point in the switched circuit I was thinking of putting it on the same circuit as the garage door opener since I don't think that breaks any code rules here in Ontario Canada.

Mine is just on a general purpose circuit. (I have the JDS 750, but an older version with out the remote, etc.) I think my shop sound system, clock and phone are on the same circuit with it. It draws very little...

I have a convenient garage door opener outlet a couple of feet away from where I mounted my JDS 750ER - it works great. It's not very power hungry, and I can't touch it without getting on a ladder, so I doubt it's a code violation.
