Hey guys, its been a while since I did anything on the lathe but I quickly remembered how much fun it is. I thought Id try another segmented turning since I dont have any suitable blanks for anything else at the moment. I apologize for the pictures, I need to get a better setup to take pictures I think! I welcome comments/suggestions. I have been studying Malcolm Tibbets book and know I have a way to go yet but it sure its fun to learn.

I like it Jim! It's functional, not overly ornate and shows that not everything has to be a bowl or hollow form!

Jim,

That's very nice. Now, doesn't the other end table need one that's exactly the same?

Hi Jim
That's actual a good looking lamp base, I'm not much for segmented pieces usually, but some do look very good for the form and use of them, and this one does just that, like Steve said, not overly ornate.
A good looking simple functional form, thanks for showing.
