i have a makita ros that is about 4 years old. i like it ...used it a lot. but now when i apply even slight pressure when sanding it slows down....the orbiting action slows down. is there an easy and cheap repair? or should i chuck it and get a new one. i think it was $59.00. thanks

Does it have a pad brake? That is, if it doesn't free-spin to very high speed when not in contact with the workpiece, it has some fashion of pad brake. On the PC 333, it's just a little o-ring that's used as a belt around a fixed post. When my PC had the exact same symptoms, the belt had broken and became lodged in various places. A call to PC got me a new belt for under $5, including shipping. I hope your repair is as easy.
