Bear with me, my search-fu is very weak today...

I seem to recall seeing something (either here or somewhere else) about laserable multilayer fabric that you can use to make what look like embroidered badges.

Can someone point me toward a supplier or am I hallucinating again?

Lee,

I've seen Twill advertise several times now that they've got a material that is not damaged by the laser. You cut it, layer it or layer it and then cut it. Store it until you're ready to heat press it to material.

I'm planning on getting my hand on some for touching at the show in Indy next month. Otherwise - I'll have to buy some to try it eventually. I think it would be a great addition to my sublimation shop...

Hi Lee, Epilog has a project on they're sample club area involving twill that uses multilayers. I've tried it and it really works. Don't know if this is what you had in mind or not.
