I was looking around my band saw and noticed ~12 end cuts from some mesquite limbs. All of these were cut off because they had checks/splits from drying. They are all the same basic thickness and with a little sanding on the 12" disc sander they might make suitable coasters. I can epoxy/inlace the cracks and spin them round or leave the natural edge. I don't currently have any Clear Coat so I was wondering what might be a suitable finish to seal the wood from the condensation effects.
